Margaret O’Toole

Margaret O’Toole joined AWS in 2017 and has spent her career helping customers across various technical roles. With a background in containers and DevOps, Margaret has worked with customers ranging from global enterprises to startups and small SMBs. Today, Margaret is a Principal Solutions Architect and the Worldwide Tech Leader for Sustainability, leading a community of customer-facing sustainability technical specialists. Together, the group helps customers optimize IT for sustainability and leverage AWS technology to solve some of the most difficult challenges in sustainability around the world. Margaret supported the development of the AWS Customer Carbon Footprint Tool and the launch of the AWS Sustainability Console. She studied Biology and Computer Science at the University of Virginia.
