Matt Wilkins

Matt is a seasoned engineering leader with over 15 years of experience in data centre and critical infrastructure, specialising in electrical design, technical strategy, and team leadership. As Global Director of Design & Engineering at Colt Data Centre Services, Matt leads a multidisciplinary team delivering standardised, innovative, and cost-efficient data centre designs that meet customer requirements while optimising performance.

Previously, as Head of Electrical Engineering, Matt served as the technical authority for global electrical systems, from high-voltage distribution to UPS, driving continuous improvement and elevating design standards. Earlier roles at BT included Electrical Engineering Manager, Technical Specialist, and Operational Engineer, where he shaped strategy, ensured compliance, and supported the development of mission-critical infrastructure.
