Stijn Grove (b. 1971) is the Managing Director and founder of the Dutch Data Center Association (DDA), the national trade association for data centers in the Netherlands. He also leads the Digital Gateway to Europe organization, which promotes the Dutch data hub.
The DDA connects leading data centers in the Netherlands to support economic growth and increase awareness of data centers. The association encourages collaboration among its members, partners, government, and other groups. It highlights the importance of data centers in society and represents the interests of its participants.
Stijn is a Board Member of the European Data Centre Association and the. He founded and chairs the KickStart Europe conference and the Green Data Center Conference, and co-founded the TouchDown Middle East and Level-X conferences. He also established the DataCenterPlatform and Datacentered magazine.
Stijn is part of the Dutch NEN Standards Committee for Data Centers and the European Green Data Centres working group. Additionally, he serves as a jury member for the Dutch Computable Awards, Dutch-IT Channel Awards, and the Global DataCloud Awards.
Previously, Stijn was founder and on the board of the Belgium Digital Infrastructure Association, on the board of the Climate Neutral Data Center Pact, vice-chairman of the iPoort foundation, and a member of the Amsterdam Sustainability Board. He co-initiated and was a board member of the Digital Infrastructure Netherlands foundation. He has also served as chairman of Stichting ‘t Vossenhol, the Netherlands oldest sailing school.
Before founding the DDA, Stijn held senior management roles at UUNET/Verizon Business, Samsung Telecom, Colt, and EvoSwitch Data Centers, and worked as an independent consultant. He is a frequent industry blogger, columnist, jury member, and event speaker. In his free time, Stijn enjoys spending time with his family, sailing, gardening, and working on various DIY projects at home.
